Ventrilo is a program which allows you to talk to fellow ET players while in the game, you can use it to help your teamwork and strategy while playing or just to chat with friends for fun. If you'd like to join us on the SoL Ventrilo Server we highly recommend you get a headset, but you just need speakers and a mike to listen in and talk.

We Have 3 Channels and a Lobby:
SoL - Public Lobby (for general chat)
Allies
Axis
SoL - Private (for scrims)





Setup:
First click the top right arrow to Add a new user

 

Your Info. Phonetic is the name that will be announced when you join (keep it simple)

Now you have a user account and you need to have a server to connect to, click the second right arrow button.

Server IP/HOSTNAME: rsx.nrgservers.net
Server Port: 3519
Enter Bother of these as in the picture below:

Now you're good to go! Connect to the server and you should see the following screen, click the Setup button to get your settings ready so you can conveniently talk while playing the game at the same time:

Next you will see this screen, click on the empty hotkey space and then click the button you'd like to be your hotkey. Once you do this, the button name should appear in the box. Now, when you want to talk on Ventrilo hold down your hotkey speak into your mike (duh). SoL looks forward to talking to you! Of course unless you're a git...
NOTE: Make sure you have Enable Outgoing Voice Communications and Use Push to Talk Hotkey selected/checked off to use the hotkey.
